Middle School Guidance Office Coffees September 2008
|
Sipping coffee and munching on morning pastries, many parents took advantage of an opportunity to meet with their child’s middle school guidance counselor recently in a group setting. After a short presentation, parents had the opportunity to ask many questions concerning the school and their children, involving such topics as homework, lunch, extra help and the after school Excels program. Communicating with teachers and finding out about upcoming events was also discussed, and a list of helpful books was handed out. Parents wishing to stay informed and on schedule are advised to check the PAC and Masco Middle School websites on a regular basis. The following websites are also very helpful:

www.tritowncouncil.org
www.schoolnotes.com or www.newschoolnotes.com

A Guidance Office list of recommended books for parents can be found here on the PAC web site.
Remember to check in with your Guidance Counselor on an “as needed” basis. Life at the Middle School can be challenging and our counselors are there to help make your child’s experience a rewarding one.
